Established in 1987, Lee Women’s Hospital has nearly four decades of experience and has achieved remarkable milestones in the field of reproductive medicine. With the mission of “advancing assisted reproductive technology (ART) and upholding the right to fertility,” we are dedicated to helping individuals and couples achieve their dream of parenthood through comprehensive, effective, and personalized ART service.

Lee Women’s Hospital emphasizes both clinical practice and academic research. We maintain close collaborations with leading universities and research institutions worldwide, continually investing in research and innovation in reproductive medicine. 

Each year, our team presents cutting-edge papers at major international conferences such as the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). To date, we have published over 350 research papers in renowned academic journals, ensuring we remain at the forefront of global reproductive science. Our partnerships extend across Europe, the U.S., Japan, Australia, and beyond. Notably, our 2014 collaboration with National Chiao Tung University on a microfluidic chip for assisted reproduction earned the 2020 National Innovation Award. In 2024, we opened the Banqiao Fertility Center, and by 2026, a large-scale teaching hospital in Zhubei will begin operations—passing on the legacy of Lee Women’s Hospital to benefit future generations.

Our research spans embryo culture, genetic screening, and optimization of fertility treatments, achieving several breakthrough results that have enhanced our standing in the field and contributed meaningfully to the advancement of ART worldwide.

2024

  • First Prize, Taiwan Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology: “Significantly shortened telomere length and altered androgen receptor expression in granulosa cells of women with PCOS”
  • Third Prize in both basic and clinical research categories at the Taiwan Society for Reproductive Medicine Annual Meeting:
  • “Innovative thawing protocols in donor egg cycles”
  • “Quantifying single blastocyst respiration using oxygen-sensing chips”

2023

  • First Prize, Excellent Paper Award at the Taiwan Society for Reproductive Medicine: “Presence of vacuoles in Day 5 blastocysts is negatively associated with euploidy and live birth rate”
  • Third Prize, Basic Research Oral Presentation, in collaboration with National Chung Hsing University
  • Research topic: “Rapid assessment of embryonic respiratory activity using microelectrode chip with concentric-step design”
  • Four studies selected by ASRM (1 oral presentation + 3 posters)

Collaboration with Leading International Research Institutions

Over the years, Lee Women’s Hospital has actively engaged in cross-national collaborations with numerous prestigious medical institutions across Europe, the United States, Japan, and Australia. In 2014, we partnered with the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at National Chiao Tung University to develop a microfluidic chip for assisted reproduction, a groundbreaking innovation that was honored with the 2020 National Innovation Award.
